QUALIFICATIONS | ||
Required: ?Bachelor’s Degree in human resources or related field.
Preferred: ?1-2 years in public education setting
Knowledge Of: ? Proficient computer skills including use of mouse and keyboard to navigate computer, e-mail, and websites. ? Proficient use of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Word ? HRIS such as Munis, KHRIS, training systems, benefit platforms, recruiting and onboarding platforms, and electronic filing systems. ? State and Federal laws and regulations pertaining to the human resources field. ? District organization structure, operations, policies, and objectives. ? Job analysis techniques ? Active listening techniques ? Terminology and procedures associated with the human resources field. ? Short and long-range planning techniques applicable to human resources. ? Local job market trends ? Record-keeping practices and procedures ? Communication skills including written and oral.

JOB DESCRIPTION | ||
Job Summary: Provide support in all areas of Human Resources as well as the primary contact for employee leaves of absence, attendance, training compliance, reporting, and unemployment.
Essential Functions, Duties and Responsibilities: ? Act as first level of support to department specialists and receptionist for purposes of simple and complex problem resolution. ? Cross-train within the department to provide employee and district support in the absence of department staff or in times of high volume. ? Answer attendance related questions based on District policy. ? Provide assistance to employees with a high level of customer service. ? Plan and execute employee engagement activities. ? Screens substitute applicant pool for minimal qualifications and make hiring recommendations. ? Administer and oversee employee leave requests. ? Monitor and review absences for compliance with applicable board policies. ? Collaborate with district administrators to address and resolve attendance-related issues in a timely manner. ? Coordinate with employees and managers to ensure proper documentation and adherence to leave policies. ? Serve as the primary point of contact and facilitator for FMLA. ? Ensure compliance with FMLA regulations. ? Act as the primary point of contact for the online training system. ? Ensure compliance and completion of required training for district employees. ? Assist with compiling reports for federal and state-level compliance. ? Support and implement employee engagement initiatives ? Act as the district representative for unemployment insurance benefit documentation, decisions, hearings, and appeals ? Perform additional duties/tasks, attend meetings and assume additional responsibilities as needed or assigned by the assistant superintendent for Human Services. | ||
