- Responsible for managing the internal/external recruiting process, which includes coordinating/managing job postings, sourcing candidates, resume screening, conducting/scheduling interviews with the hiring team, and issuing offer letters.
- Manage and assist in implementation of effective recruitment strategies; working with local vendors as needed. Build effective relationships with local vendors as well as universities to establish short- long term talent pipeline.
- Provide personnel policy and procedure guidance to employees and management.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal and state employment law and compliance requirements.
- Conducts yearly open enrollment benefit, training for employee benefits programs and assists with employee inquiries/changes.
- Conduct and provide guidance and support to managers on addressing and resolving employee relations issues,
- site employee relations issues, aligning with all regulations,
- Conduct necessary investigations and disciplinary actions ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Create and distribute internal communications regarding status changes, benefits, or company policies.
- Manage and administer leaves of absence, whether medical or personal and comply with all government regulations.
- Provide support for HR projects and initiatives, as needed.
- Administer new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Recommend enhancements to existing new employee on-boarding and orientation.
- Maintain/administer site performance review process for hourly employees.
- Collaborate with the human resources team to develop effective strategies specific to recruitment, onboarding, performance management, engagement and exit.
- Conduct exit interviews and recommend corrective action if necessary.
- Coach and advise site leadership in HR best practices.
- Assist in development of updated job descriptions to align with future business needs and local markets.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and work experience in Human Resources.
- 3 - 5 years' work experience in an HR Generalist role or similar position. In a manufacturing environment a plus.
- Min 3 years experience in handling sensitive employee relations issues
- 3-5 years experience coaching senior leaders.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must have strong staffing/recruiting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software, Workday a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of the organization.
- Must have the ability to manage high level of confidentiality with maturity.
- Strong ability to drive HR best practices.
- Strong working knowledge of HR principles and practices is essential.
- Knowledge of State and Federal laws and regulations is essential.
