Summary:
The Human Resources Manager is responsible for partnering with the Plant Manager to ensure facility operations are adequately staffed while attaining high employee satisfaction and engagement. Administers corporate policies relating to compensation, benefits, employee relations, training, and health and safety programs. Maintains and updates employee records, various reports and provides employee coaching on work related matters.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Plant Manager to develop strategy, addressing employee related issues
- Monitor absenteeism
- Monitor turnover
- Promote positive morale
- Organize programs to engage employees
- Recruit and retain talent
- Onboard and train employees in HR policies
- Coordinate local preparation for union negotiations
- Lead employee relations – conflict resolution, compliant investigation, employee recognition
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field required.
- Minimum of 5 years HR Manager experience in a lean manufacturing/repair environment.
- PHR or SPHR certification preferred
- In depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
