HR Admin - Position Summary
The Human Resources Admin is responsible for managing administrative tasks within the Human Resources department. They are also responsible for maintaining personnel records, updating databases, and supporting HR operations. Additionally, they assist in the development of company policies and preparing HR reports.
This position requires a fast-paced individual who is a quick learner and possesses strong communication skills. The Human Resources Admin works closely with HR professionals.
Responsibilities also include responding to emails, answering phone calls, addressing employee inquiries in person, taking meeting minutes, and ensuring timely completion of assigned tasks.
HR Admin - Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for employees. Provide guidance on queries regarding attendance, paid leave, payroll and company culture.
- Consistently reviews and verifies employee's licenses, certifications; maintains appropriate records.
- Tracks Supervisory Visits, runs 1,000 hour report.
- Manages invoices and apparel ordering for staff.
- Assists with HR projects/events as needed such as Open Enrollment, Employee Recognition Event, etc.
- Coordinates the random drug screen program.
- Coordinates the Hospice Hero employee recognition program.
- Completes HR reports, as needed.
- Organize yearly United Way Day of Caring for the organization.
- Manages the maintenance of HR files.
- Performs yearly MVR and background rescreens.
- Assists with annualTB/Flu tracking.
- Organize orientation bags/give aways.
- Manages federal and state legal posting requirements.
- Order supplies as needed.
- Send flowers when appropriate to staff.
- Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
- Must be very sensitive to the types of information processed within the HR Department.
- Assists with answering employee questions and escalating concerns to leadership as appropriate.
- Participate in the development of departmental goals and objectives. Recommends new approaches and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize projects, effectively manage time.
- Possesses interpersonal skills that promote effective communication.
HR Admin- Qualifications and Experience
- High School Diploma required.
- Associate’s Degree preferred.
- HR Administration of 2-4 years required
- Experience using HRIS, preferred Paycom.
- SHRM Certification, preferred
