About the Job
Selectemp is seeking an experienced Human Resources Assistant for a local pharmaceutical company to temporarily assist the team located in Corvallis, Oregon. This position is responsible for performing administrative tasks to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resources department.

Responsibilities for the Human Resources Assistant include:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policy
- Provide administrative support to HR Director
- Coordinate employee training and meetings
- Assist with recruiting activities including resume document management and scheduling interviews
- Facilitate new hire on-boarding including preparation and coordination with internal departments and collection of new hire documents.
- Respond to requests for verification of employment
- Assist with planning and execution of special events such as employee recognition events, holiday parties, summer picnic, retirement celebrations, and team building activities.
- Provide back up support for Operations team including answering main telephone line, greeting/signing in guests and notifying appropriate staff, receiving deliveries, etc.
Minimum Qualifications for the Human Resources Assistant include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of three years relevant work experience required in Human Resources; Associate’s Degree and PHR/SHRM-CP preferred.
- Experience and/or training with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Microsoft Outlook including scheduling and contact management and Microsoft Excel.
- Demonstrated knowledge of state and federal employment law.

- Exceptional organization skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment requiring the ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task.
- Must be able to work independently and assist staff from every level of the company organizational chart.
- Must represent the company and HR Department in a pleasant and professional manner when conducting business both over the phone and in person.
- Must have Human Resources experience
Job Details for Human Resources Assistant:
- Temp - Leave of Absence Coverage through the end of February 2025
- Monday-Friday - Start time to be discussed - 7-8:30 am start time (40 hours per week)
- Will consider a hybrid work model after training is completed
- $22-24 DOE
