Summary:
The Senior Human Resource Assistant will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department. The role fulfills human resources-related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all the following functional areas: employee relations, talent acquisition, training, and employee rewards and recognition. This role provides administrative support, which includes record keeping, file maintenance, and data entry.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs administrative functions, including composing letters, flyers, and employee newsletters.
- Completes employee information through file maintenance, data entry, tracking, and detailed record keeping.
- Responds to requests from both internal and external customers.
- Manages and tracks the employee attendance line.
- Manages employee requisition process and metrics relating to open positions.
- Facilitates and provides training, including HR orientation.
- Manages all areas of the company's e-learning system.
- Assists with employee prescreening activities, including post-offer physicals, drug tests, and background checks.
- Processes reference checks and ensures required references are received.
- Maintains and coordinates employee recognition, events, and reward programs.
- Assists with health and welfare plans, including enrollment, changes, and terminations.
- Process required documents through payroll and insurance providers to ensure accurate record-keeping and proper deductions.
- Runs regular reports as needed for the department.
- Distributes performance reviews to supervisors and maintains all personnel records.
- Assists with the processing of terminations.
- Will serve as backup for HR Generalist as needed.
- Complete special assignments/projects as required.
- Orders supplies for the HR Department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:
- A high school diploma is required, and an associate’s degree is preferred.
- 2 years of administrative experience is required, with 1 year of human resources preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CANVA, Publisher).
- Technological savviness and literacy.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Initiative, critical thinking, and bias for action skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for 6-7 hours during an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to stand and walk for 1-2 hours during an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 25 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees.
- Must be able to use wrists, fingers, and hands to operate a computer, utilize a telephone, write, and grasp.
Other regulated requirements:
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
- Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine, and TB testing.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
