POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources assistant partners with the HR team and with front-line managers to assist in recruiting, onboarding, and other HR-related initiatives. This role will assist in various HR projects and will deliver crucial administrative support to HR activities. The HR Coordinator role is highly visible, requiring strong communication and collaboration skills with employees at all organizational levels.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in maintaining employee personnel records
Assists new employee on-boarding and orientation
Assist in recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews, pre-employment screening, reference checks, new-hire provisioning, and communication.
Completes requests for verification of employment following established guidelines
Performs customer service functions by responding to employee requests and inquiries
Completes forms I-9, verifies documentation, and maintains I-9 files.
Assists in benefits enrollment including health, dental, vision, 401-K and others.
Performs administrative duties related to employee relations
Management reserves the right to add, modify, change or rescind the work assignments of this position as business needs warrant.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Diploma required
Associate degree in Business, Marketing or Human Resources preferred
Experience / Abilities:
1-year Human Resources experience, preferably in organization with greater than 100 employees required
Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Sound time management and prioritization skills
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to work in a team environment
Willingness to maintain confidential information
TRAVEL AND HOURS
This position can be full or part time, Monday through Friday preferred
Infrequent travel may be required with this position as part of their support responsibilities (within the Lenexa area)
