Position Summary
The HR Generalist/ Business Office Manager position's responsibility falls into several categories including staffing/recruitment, employee on-boarding and off-boarding, training, employee management, employee relations, and HR process implementation and support. Candidate must have strong communication and organizational skills, strong multitasking skills, be company driven, enjoy juggling several projects at a time, and have a passion for delivering results that are in line with the vision of the company.
Responsibilities
The HR Generalist/Recruiter will be responsible for managing or performing work across multiple Human Resources activities which include:
- General HR program/policy development, administration, and compliance
- Provide general business support
- Employee profiling and recruiting
- Business management
- Employee management and supervison
- Employee hiring, onboarding, termination, and records maintenance
- Employee and labor relations and communications
- Rewards program coordination and/or administration
- Relocation services (domestic and international)
- Work with immigration services to confirm proper compliance
- Lead HR related training, coaching), staffing & recruiting, talent acquisitions and handling Human Resource matters with employees.
- Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision
- Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals
- Supports continuous improvement/automation activities
- Uses advanced analytical/technical problem solving to develop new solutions to existing problems/procedures
- Supports relationships through strong communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Role will also provide support to alternate locations / business units.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage employees, providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Employee Relations: Handle employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance improvement plans, and disciplinary actions, while ensuring a fair and respectful workplace.
- Talent Acquisition: Oversee the full-cycle recruitment and selection process. Internal recruiters will report directly to HR Manager.
- Performance Management: Carry out performance management programs, including annual performance evaluations.
- Training and Development: Identify HR department training needs, design and deliver training programs to enhance employee skills and promote professional development.
- Compensation and Benefits: Oversee compensation and benefits programs and ensure they are being carried out on a day-to-day basis effectively.
- HR Policies and Compliance: Update and enforce HR policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations.
- Employee Engagement: Foster a positive and engaging work environment through initiatives such as employee engagement surveys, recognition programs, and wellness activities.
- Labor Law Knowledge: Will apply working knowledge of California and Federal labor laws to everyday situations.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Drive diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a workplace
- Conflict Resolution: Address employee concerns, conflicts, and grievances in a timely and effective manner.
- HR Strategy: Contribute to the development of HR strategies that align with the company's overall objectives and drive organizational success.
- Performed other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; preferred but not required.
- HR Experience: Minimum of 2 years of progressive HR experience, with 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Payroll Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience processing and closing exempt and non-exempt payroll.
- HR Expertise: Well-versed in all areas of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits, training and development, and HR compliance.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to effectively lead and inspire an HR team and support the needs of the company. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities, with a focus on finding practical and fair solutions.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability: Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic and changing work environment.
- Ethical Conduct: Uphold the highest standards of ethics and confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Software: Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Travel: 25% travel required.
