POSITION SUMMARY
Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. (MEPPI), is headquartered in Warrendale, PA and serves the North American power systems, critical power and rail transportation industries with electrical and electronic products, systems, and services.
As our organization and industry continue to grow, we are looking to add a Human Resources Business Partner who will be instrumental in driving our HR strategy forward while working closely with division leadership to align our people practices with business objectives.
In this role you will provide leadership and support in functional areas of human resources such as organizational design, workforce planning and development, compensation alignment, performance management, employee and leadership development, project management, change management, and organizational effectiveness.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Partner with assigned division leadership to create and implement Human Resources strategies to enable the business to achieve its objectives.
- Provide direct HR services to assigned divisions, focusing on talent optimization, including organizational design, talent development, compensation and job duty alignment, succession planning, team development, and talent retention.
- Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and priorities, particularly in the areas of recruiting, retention and talent development. Monitor division metrics and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support and train division managers and employees on key HR processes including performance management, workforce planning, succession planning, recruiting, training and talent development etc.
- Oversee and engage directly with divisions to identify and implement needs assessments for organizational design, training and employee development. Collaborate with management on performance, organizational and leadership matters.
- Lead and provide project management support for a variety of organizational development initiatives including job descriptions and compensation planning, policy development, and management training initiatives.
- Partner with the Employee Relations team on the investigation and timely resolution of employee relations issues. Collaborate with the HR teams for recruiting, operations and talent development.
- Provide project management support for cross-functional Human Resources projects.
- Provide project management support for acquisitions and integration.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor�s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience , or equivalent education and experience.
- Knowledge of organizational development practices and programs.
- Knowledge of human resource issues including state and federal employment laws and training practices.
- Advanced interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft Office products and MRP/ERP business systems.
