Job Posting: Director of Human Resources
Location: Brawley, CA (2 hours outside sunny San Diego!)
Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 (Relocation Assistance Available)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Human Resources to lead and supervise our Human Resource department. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources/Legal Officer, this position will oversee HR operations and provide strategic consultation across departments, ensuring the organization’s compliance with legal requirements and internal policies. The successful candidate will bring a strong leadership presence, excellent problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of HR management in a healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate sound human resources policies and procedures.
- Provide HR consultation and legal review to managers across all departments, ensuring compliance with established laws and policies.
- Lead recruitment efforts for all open positions and manage employee benefits, compensation plans, and performance appraisal systems.
- Oversee the maintenance of confidential HR records and ensure compliance with HIPAA and corporate integrity regulations.
- Serve on the Executive Management team and collaborate with the Board of Directors on relevant HR matters.
- Administer the organization’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, including ADA and harassment prevention programs.
- Prepare reports for executive leadership and ensure accurate budget preparation and management within the HR department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 7-10 years of HR experience with supervisory responsibilities, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws, HR management principles, and employee relations practices.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage complex issues, and foster a team-based approach to HR management.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Work Environment:
The role is based in a professional office setting and may require handling sensitive or stressful situations. This is a full-time, exempt position under FLSA provisions.
Additional Information:
This role offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $190,000 annually, with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
