Key Responsibilities:
As an HR Generalist, you will support the entire employee life cycle, from recruitment to employee relations, in our Allentown warehouse. You'll partner with the HR Manager and our warehouse management teams to drive HR initiatives that enhance productivity, compliance, and employee engagement.
HR Administration & Data Management:
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records and managing data using our HRIS system. You'll ensure that all updates for hires, terminations, and employment status changes are processed in a timely manner. Additionally, you'll generate important workforce metrics reports, including turnover, attendance, and staffing levels, to help guide business decisions.
Payroll & Benefits Administration:
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits.
- Assist in managing leave requests (FMLA, PTO) and enrollments.
- Ensure payroll accuracy and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Performance Management:
- Support managers with performance evaluations and improvement plans (PIPs).
- Track performance management processes and provide developmental feedback.
- Facilitate employee training and professional development initiatives.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Partner with warehouse managers to identify staffing needs and lead the full recruitment process.
- Conduct interviews, manage background checks, and oversee onboarding.
- Ensure new hires complete required safety training and certifications.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries and HR-related issues.
- Handle conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievances.
- Conduct exit interviews and provide insights for retention strategies.
Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws (FLSA, FMLA, OSHA).
- Maintain safety documentation and support incident reporting.
- Assist with safety audits and promote warehouse safety initiatives.
What We're Looking For:
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
- SHRM Certification (preferred).
- Experience:
- 3-5 years of HR experience, ideally in a warehouse or manufacturing setting.
- Multi-site HR experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with HRIS/HCM systems (iSolved) and payroll processes.
- Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and HR software.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to travel between warehouse locations as required.
- Occasionally lift office supplies and equipment (up to 25 pounds).
- Frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the warehouse.
