Position Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented HR Administrator to join our team. The HR Administrator will play a key role in supporting the human resources functions of our organization, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, payroll processing, and compliance with employment laws and regulations. This position will be based at our main location in Covington, with occasional travel to our satellite clinic in Westwego as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Coordinate recruitment efforts, including job postings, candidate screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including conducting orientations, collecting required documentation, and ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
Employee Relations:
- Serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist with the resolution of employee relations issues, conducting investigations and implementing appropriate disciplinary actions when necessary.
Benefits Administration:
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
- Assist employees with benefits enrollment, changes, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with plan requirements and regulations.
Payroll Processing:
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws.
- Maintain payroll records, including employee timekeeping, deductions, and tax withholdings.
Compliance and Documentation:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, including personnel files, performance evaluations, and training documentation.
HR Reporting and Analysis:
- Generate reports and analyze HR metrics to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and initiatives to support organizational goals.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in HR administration or a similar role, preferably in the healthcare or rehabilitation industry.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
