Job purpose
- The Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of Human Resources.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews,
- Including entering data into HRIS and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
- Process weekly and monthly updates to employee files, tracking vacation/sick pay, inputting
- Exceptions and benefit changes in HRIS.
- Recruit and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions and collaborates
- With Department Managers to understand skills and competencies for openings.
- Conduct and/or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute Human Resources programs and
- Policies including but not limited to various leave of absences, benefits, and compensation.
- Maintains compliance with Federal, State and local employment laws and regulations,
- Recommended best practices, reviews policy and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, in human resources,
- Performance management and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field desired.
- 3-5 years of human resource management experience preferred.
- Experience with HRIS systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Excel)
- SHRM-CP a plus.
