Job Description
Designs, implements and monitors human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, learning and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, equal opportunity and diversity, etc. Anticipates and plans for long-term human resource needs and trends. Also assists in insurance management and safety. Responsibilities are within the Human Resource Function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines. Administers pension plans, either internally or through an outsourced service, including check distribution, recordkeeping, or responding to employee requests to established policies and procedures. Assists in preparing reports to management on the status of pension activities.
Primary responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day operating leverage to the Director of Human Resources
- Consult with firm-wide Regional Business Unit Leaders on strategic planning and people issues
- Support the ongoing HR focus on the development and execution of programs and initiatives to attract, onboard, develop and retain talent across the organization
- Drive the learning and development programs to improve employee engagement and retention and to improve leadership skills
- Drive employee engagement and communication efforts
- Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation, ensuring compliance by educating executives and management team on applicable labor requirements
- Coach, counsel and mentor managers and employees
- Facilitate discussions to resolve employee complaints or problems
