Human Resources Generalist - Goodwill Industries of Kansas

• The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with at least five years of HR experience, specifically in employee relations, recruitment, and benefits administration.
• A solid understanding of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and EEO compliance, is essential.
• The candidate should possess strong interpersonal communication skills, enabling them to build relationships across all levels of the organization, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
• They should demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities, an aptitude for managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, and a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Preferred qualifications include a SHRM-CP or PHR certification and experience in the nonprofit or social services sector.

• Oversee employee relations and talent management for an assigned business unit or units of Goodwill Industries of Kansas.
• Align our employee relations and talent management strategy with Goodwill’s Strategic Plan and Core Values.
• Handle day-to-day administration of the HRIS system.
• Partners with the Payroll/Benefits Manager to accurately collect time sensitive benefit and payroll information.
• Coordinates workflow process with Payroll/Benefits Manager.
• Maintain employee files electronically via the HRIS systems.
• Coordinates wage verification or employment status.
• Maintains records related to employment in all HR systems.
• Processes address changes and terminations in HRIS system.
• Assists with the performance management program (notifications to managers, follow-up, etc.)
• Maintains accurate filing system for all documents (i.e.; position changes, GII statistical information, store manager lists, etc.)
• Assists Director of HR with various research projects and/or special projects.
• Maintains statistical reports/summaries for CARF, KDADS, ISO.
• Responds to all internal stakeholder and external stakeholder requests (i.e., State of Kansas, KDADS, CARF, mortgage companies, employment verifications, etc.).
• Maintains ISO compliance/certification.
• Maintains CARF compliance.
