BTST Services is seeking a proactive and experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee the daily operations of the HR department. The HR Manager will manage HR staff, implement HR policies, and ensure that HR processes align with the organization’s goals and compliance requirements. This role is crucial for fostering a positive workplace culture and enhancing employee engagement.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Manages HR staff and oversees daily HR operations.
- Provides performance feedback and conducts evaluations.
- Develops staff to create a cohesive and inclusive work environment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Manages recruitment processes, including application screening, interviewing, and onboarding of new employees.
- Implements employee training and development programs to enhance skill sets and career growth.
- Oversees employee relations, ensuring a positive and productive workplace atmosphere.
- Administers HR programs related to compensation, benefits, and employee performance management.
- Monitors compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including CARF and COMAR regulations, updating policies as needed.
- Ensures personnel files comply with CARF and COMAR regulations and local, state, and federal retention requirements.
- Conducts regular analysis of HR metrics to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
- Develops and implements employee engagement initiatives to foster a supportive work environment.
- Supports the HR team in addressing employee issues and conflict resolution.
- Prepares and maintains accurate HR documentation and personnel records.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations, including CARF and COMAR.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and HRIS software.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- At least three years of human resource experience required.
- HR certification preferred (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR).
- Experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
- Experience with Paycom is a plus
- Background in recruitment, employee relations, and training development.
Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel to any of our four locations (Baltimore City, Prince George's County, Washington County, Frederick County).
- Hybrid schedule available.
