Metallus Internship Program
At Metallus, our internship program is designed to make you part of our team. You will have opportunities to grow your skills, develop as a leader, and network with our managers and leaders. Our program allows you to gain real work experience in a team environment. Metallus also supports your career readiness development through workshops with topics like resume building and interview prep.

Internship Assignment: Full-Time - Summer 2025
The intern will have responsibilities and experiences across several functions within the human resources department. These include, but are not limited to: recruiting, compensation, benefits, training, development, and HR generalist support of the organization.
* Review and help update employee handbooks.
* Review policies, research to ensure compliance, and suggest updates.
* Work on project to transition job descriptions from a legacy system to a new system.
* Work on a project to move paper-based files to an online storage system.
* Participate in a process to submit and review survey data for salary planning and budgeting.
* Evaluate and market price jobs.
* Participate in the process of reviewing medical plan pricing.
* Work on a project to begin preparing for annual benefits open enrollment.
Internship Qualifications
* Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
* Must be a full-time student attending an accredited two-year or four-year college/university
* Must have completed 30 or more credit hours by the end of the spring 2025 semester
* Preferred majors: Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Microsoft Outlook and Excel
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work independently and as part of a team
* Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
