POSITION SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Intern provides support to the Human Resources department by assisting in the recruitment and hiring process and assist with day to day tasks as assigned. In addition, this position may serve as a backup to the receptionist.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Post job opportunities to the company website and to a variety of job boards
- Screen applicants for minimum job qualifications through phone interview process
- Schedule in person interviews with managers
- Conduct reference and background checks and coordinate pre-employment testing
- Prepare and assist with new hire orientation
- Tracking of attendance; vacations and absences
- Assist with the preparation of employee reviews
- Assist with wellness committee activities
- Assist Finance and Human Resources with filing as needed
- Perform various clerical duties
- Perform receptionist duties - greet customers in person and via telephone in a responsive and respectful manner
- All other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:

- Currently attending school with emphasis on Human Resources, Recruiting or Business Admin. – required
- Previous administrative experience - preferred
- Experience with a HRIS and Applicant Tracking Software program- preferred
- Self-starter with multi-tasking skills and great adaptability skills - required
- Maintain high level of confidentiality - required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- required
- Demonstrated proficiency (intermediate level) in computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) - required
