As a vital member of our organization, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our employees through comprehensive leave management, safety initiatives, and benefit support.

Job Title: Leave of Absence Specialist
Location: 100% On-site. Crystal Stairs corporate office is located in Ladera Heights, California (90056).
Key Responsibilities:
- Leave Management Expertise: Oversee all aspects of leave administration, from drafting and tracking requests to coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Safety and Security Programs: Implement strategies supporting our Agency's Safety and Security programs, ensuring a secure work environment for all employees.
- Workers' Compensation and Benefits: Manage Workers' Compensation claims, coordinate benefits for employees on leave, and provide tactical support for our Ergonomics Program.
- Communication and Training: Act as the point of contact for leave matters, conduct agency-wide safety training(s), and communicate essential safety-related information to staff.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of leave management, benefits administration, employment and labor laws, OSHA, and safety initiatives. HRIS experience required, ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Competencies: Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle diverse tasks and changing priorities. Flexibility, diplomacy, and a customer-focused mindset are essential.
- Complexity: Exercise independent judgment and discretion in analyzing situations, prioritizing tasks, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Education and Experience: Two (2) years of college; Bachelor's degree preferred. Relevant work experience may be substituted for college level education.
- Additional Requirements: Must be fully vaccinated and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Per the CDC, fully vaccinated means at least 2 weeks after (1) a second dose in a 2-dose series, or (2) a single-dose vaccine, and this status and definition applies to COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized for use and approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
