The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing professional and administrative processes related to benefits administration, recruitment, employee onboarding, personnel records, job descriptions, and compliance with Hurley & Associates’ policies. This role works closely with senior management to support corporate and branch office locations.

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for overseeing professional and administrative processes related to benefits administration, recruitment, employee onboarding, personnel records, job descriptions, and compliance with Hurley & Associates’ policies. This role works closely with senior management to support corporate and branch office locations.
Key Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration:
- Implement and manage employee benefits programs.
- Assess benefit needs and trends and recommend programs to management.
- Obtain and evaluate benefit contract bids.
- Design and conduct programs to educate employees on benefit options.
- Lead recruitment efforts, including interviewing.
- Coordinate and participate in new hire orientation, ensuring that employees receive all necessary information.
- Review and recommend improvements to the recruitment process.
- Plan, implement, and evaluate HR programs, policies, and practices.
- Conduct workplace investigations when necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state HR laws and regulations.
- Update job descriptions and requirements for all positions.
- Manage employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions and conflict resolution.
- Oversee the employee separation process, including exit interviews.
- Ensure consistency in HR practices across all locations.
- Confidentiality: Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
- Communication: Strong verbal, written, and listening skills are essential for both individual and group settings.
- Objectivity & Conflict Management: Must maintain objectivity and effectively manage conflicts as needed.
- Time Management & Organization: Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with a strong follow-through ability.
- Knowledge of HR laws, documentation, and best practices in recruiting and benefits.
- Experience developing employee handbooks and orientation materials.
- Ability to support Hurley & Associates’ business model through HR initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel (intermediate level).
- Experience navigating websites and conducting online research.
- Experience with HRIS systems, Applicant Tracking Software, and background check processes (preferred).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- Experience:
- Five years of experience in benefits administration (required).
- Three years of experience in recruitment (required).
- Two years of supervisory experience (recommended).
- Certification: PHR or SPHR certification strongly preferred.
