Job Overview:
As the HR Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and executing a broad range of human resources functions at the plant level. This role requires a deep understanding of HR best practices, compliance with employment laws, and the ability to foster positive relationships across the organization. You will play a pivotal role in recruitment, employee relations, training, policy development, and overall employee engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the recruitment process for exempt, non-exempt, hourly, and temporary employees.
- Interpret and enforce company policies and maintain the employee handbook.
- Mediate employee disputes and work with management to provide resolutions.
- Oversee the administration of employee benefits, payroll coordination, and unemployment compensation.
- Develop and implement employee training and development programs.
- Manage performance appraisal processes and salary administration.
- Foster open communication with employees to keep them informed on policies, news, and recognitions.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and HIPAA regulations.
- Maintain accurate employee records and manage plant security operations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- At least 5 years of HR generalist experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of HR management experience within a manufacturing setting.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and compensation practices.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with all levels of the organization.
- Excellent negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in HR or related field.
- Experience managing HR functions in a highly regulated environment.
- Strong project management abilities and the ability to juggle multiple initiatives.
