Position: Human Resources Manager
Overview: Since 1977, Echelon Supply and Service has been a leading supplier of hoses and hose assemblies for commercial and military applications throughout the world. Echelon Supply and Service is currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Gulf Coast team.
Job Summary: The Human Resources Manager position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in the Gulf Coast branches. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HR Manager maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit's financial position, its midrange plans, its culture and its competition. Responsibilities include ensuring legal compliance and implementation of the organization’s mission and talent strategy.
Duties and Responsibilities as it applies directly to the Gulf Coast branches:
+ Manages full cycle recruiting and onboarding for all Gulf Coast positions
+ Assists with administration of employee leave requests, FMLA, disability requests, and worker’s compensation claims for Gulf Coast employees
+ Onboarding new employees and ensuring benefit enrollment and necessary new employee training is completed for Gulf Coast employees
+ Assists both current and new hire employees with registering, accessing, and utilizing time and attendance system, employee self-service and other HR related systems
+ Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
+ Provides HR policy guidance
+ Assist with employee engagement initiatives as needed
+ Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
+ Regular travel within the four Gulf Coast branches is required
+ Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or another applicable major and 1-5 years’ experience in Human Resources required
+ Knowledge of Federal, State and local tax rules and regulations
+ Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality. Comfort with dealing with sensitive employee relations matters
+ SHRM-CP or PHR preferred
Skills and Abilities:
+ Motivated self-starter, able to work independently or within a team
+ Excellent communication skills (oral and written), strong organizational skills
+ Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
+ Must have the ability to interact and collaborate with employees at multiple levels within the organization
+ Must possess a technical and working knowledge of MSOffice, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and the ability to learn new software
+ Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. Highly organized and excellent attention to detail
