HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
Our team at The Recruiting Prosis conducting a high-priority search for a Human Resources Manager on behalf of a manufacturer in Mountain City, TN. Our client manufactures innovative products and they are committed to providing unparalleled service to their customers. In this important position you will support all levels of the plant operations to develop strategies to meet and exceed company business goals and objectives. You will work closely with department leadership throughout the plant, acting as a liaison to ensure that strategies, tactics and practices align with company policies, practices, beliefs and goals. This is an immediate, full-time, permanent position and will require you to work onsite.
Routine responsibilities will require you to:
- Serve as a member of the plant leadership team to ensure human resources and business objectives are clearly defined, communicated and executed.
- Lead the development of HR initiatives including performance management, organizational development, staffing, engagement and retention.
- Collaborate with Corporate HR leadership to develop strategic planning process; implement corporate directives related to human resources initiatives.
- Lead and direct an HR Assistant to perform day-to-day HR and admin activities to support departmental and organizational needs including but not limited to managing job descriptions, recruiting, onboarding, phone screens, scheduling of interviews, and promoting a safe work environment.
- Anticipate and identify gaps between business needs and people systems and capabilities; communicate findings to department managers and executive leadership.
- Select qualified candidates.
- Conduct initial interviews as well as pre-employment and onboarding processes.
- Manage legal compliance of employee records as well as maintain HR records.
- Maintain current understanding and knowledge of FMLA, Workers Compensation, Federal and State laws.
- Coordinate and conduct monthly safety training with all managers and hourly associates and ensure employees at the facility are adhering to the safety polices.
- Investigate employee complaints and concerns; maintain professionalism and appropriate confidentiality to work toward an effective resolution.
- Review and submit weekly payroll on a timely manner.
Required education and experience:
- College degree strongly preferred
- 3+ years experience full spectrum of human resources in a manufacturing environment required
- Supervisory and/or management of HR related functions in a production environment required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with Applicant Tracking/payroll/benefits management systems; experience with ADP Vantage Suite a strong plus.
- Experience working with a time and attendance system; Kronos a strong plus
- Working knowledge of FMLA, Workers Compensation, Federal and State employment laws.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
