In close collaboration with the Senior Director of Operations, the Human Resources Manager will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the Human Resources department to recruit and retain a high quality workforce and to develop an employee and Participant oriented organizational culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and high performance. This is a “hands-on” management position. Key responsibilities include the monitoring of HR policies and procedures, employee recruitment and retention, management development, compensation, bi-weekly payroll processing, performance management, and legal compliance. The Human Resources Manager is a key member of the Management Team, reports to the Senior Director of Operations and will supervise a staff of 5-6. Minimum of 5 years Human Resources “generalist” experience across all functional areas of Human Resources, with 3-5 years leading or managing all of these functions. BA/BS or equivalent required; Master’s Degree, PHR or SPHR certification preferred Expert knowledge of state and federal employment laws, wage and salary rules and regulations. Must have demonstrated ability to function in rapidly growing and fast-paced work environment, ability to recommend HR strategy and develop tactical action and project plans, exercise judgment and take independent action on day-to-day issues; but also be comfortable consulting with and taking direction when needed from Leadership. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast moving and ever changing environment. Strong professional ethics and sensitivity to maintaining confidentiality.
