POSITION SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager is a vital part of the HR leadership team, dedicated to ensuring that processes are compliant, innovative, and continuously improving. This role requires a deep understanding of healthcare industry regulations, labor laws, and a passion for employee development and workplace culture. The primary goal is to exceed customer expectations and provide a person-centered approach across all facets of Human Resources. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop, implement, and manage HR policies, procedures, and programs that comply with healthcare regulations.
- Lead recruitment efforts for healthcare staff, including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new employees.
- Manage employee relations, including handling conflicts, grievances, and investigations in accordance with labor laws and organizational policies.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and industry-specific regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, etc.).
- Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives.
- Oversee performance management processes, including setting goals, conducting evaluations, and implementing employee development programs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives, diversity programs, and team-building activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. (Applicable experience may substitute education on a year for year basis.)
- Minimum of 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Thorough understanding of labor laws, healthcare regulations, and HR best practices.
- HR certification (PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP) is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
