About Our Client:
Our client, an international nonprofit, is seeking a dynamic Human Resources Manager to lead their HR efforts and manage day-to-day operations. This is a direct hire position based in Washington, DC with a hybrid work schedule.
Job Description:
The Manager, People & Culture will oversee recruitment, onboarding, and benefits administration, while ensuring compliance with HR laws and regulations. This role requires strong generalist and managerial HR experience, with an emphasis on compliance and performance management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the recruitment and onboarding of new employees.
- Administer benefits programs and manage the open enrollment process.
- Provide guidance on employee relations and performance management issues.
- Design and implement programs to foster employee engagement and participation.
- Collaborate with the accounting department to process payroll.
- Manage day-to-day HR operations, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.
- Maintain and update the HRIS system (UKG).
- Support and promote DEI initiatives within the organization.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of HR experience, including generalist duties and managerial responsibilities.
- Strong compliance and regulation experience is required.
- Proficient in UKG and HRIS systems.
- Flexible, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt to changing needs.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (experience may compensate).
