We are currently hiring a recruiter to facilitate advertising, screening, interviewing, onboarding and entering new hires into the payroll system. A successful candidate will be organized, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be extremely thorough, problem solves, and is process oriented. This position will also assist with some parts of payroll, completing employment verifications, and other paperwork and projects as time permits.
Standard work hours are 8am - 5pm, with the potential for some flexibility. Would like this position to work until 5:30pm or 6pm at least a few nights per week for late interviews.
Job Duties:
- Advertise as needed for open positions. Will involve creating and updating job ads that bring in the desired results, identifying advertising options, and keeping postings current.
- Screen candidates. Keep up on applicant flow to reduce losing candidates to other opportunities. Work with the hiring manager on their needs and screen candidates to focus their time on top candidates. Keep track of candidate flow, process, and reasons.
- Interview candidates. Will do phone and/or in-person interviews with candidates as required for each position you are working on. Will do so in congruence with all applicable state and federal laws.
- Pre-employment requirements. Will set up and/or conduct pre-employment requirements as needed which could include scheduling physicals and potentially administering on-site drug testing.
- New hire on-boarding. Will schedule for new-hire orientation as needed and do the HR portion of the training and will potentially be the backup for other parts of the training.
- Paperwork processing. Will ensure that all new hire paperwork is correctly and completely filled out, and will follow up on missing items.
- Payroll entry. All new hires need to be entered into the payroll and other systems accurately and in a timely manner.
- Payroll assistance. Assistance with payroll may include tracking down information, enter data into the software, or even fully processing a payroll.
- Miscellaneous paperwork: Will be the primary person responsible for completing various forms such as verifications of employment, unemployment paperwork, etc.
- Other projects as assigned. As time permits or needs dictate, will be given other projects.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
- Strong computer skills are essential: Outlook/Excel/Word familiarity is desirable.
- Payroll experience helpful
- Attention to detail and being process oriented is essential
- Communicate effectively and professionally via phone and email required

- Perform duties and stay on track with minimal direction
- Ensuring discretion and security of sensitive information
Education & Experience:
- High school degree required, advanced education is preferred
- 2 years of administrative experience or equivalency
- Recruiting experience desired
- Knowledge of State and Federal employment laws and regulations preferred
