POSITION SUMMARY:
The HR Specialist works with HR and business management to deliver value-added service by assessing, anticipating, and resolving HR-related needs that reflect the business objectives of the organization. This role is responsible for management and completion of assigned HR related projects and initiatives. Talent acquisition and onboarding is a substantial priority for the HR Specialist.

Human Resources
- Serves as an HR resource to employees on human resource-related issues and acts as the employee champion at HCTec.
- Manages the performance review process and reports analytics to management accordingly.
- Documents and processes changes including hires, terminations/separations, salary, etc.
- Ensures all employee records are maintained and updated with new hire information or changes in employment status.
- Create scheduled as well as ad hoc reports and analyzes data for management reports and presentations
- Maintains knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees
- Works to ensure a risk-free and positive employee culture through awareness, education, and proactive employee engagement and relationship management.
- Responsible for regular maintenance/updating of the HCTec Intranet (The Compass) HR page with current events and information
- Other duties as assigned
- Regular and reliable attendance.
Recruiting & Onboarding
- Partners with Talent Acquisition Specialist in recruiting, with sourcing, interviewing, testing and setting up interviews and administration for candidates.
- Manages the offer, onboarding and orientations of new hires.
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
- 1-2 years of Recruiting experience preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 year of HR experience
- Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field preferred.
- Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including basic presentation-quality materials for senior audiences. PowerPoint experience a plus.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
- Strong efficiency in Microsoft Office
- SHRM PHR credential preferred.
