Our client is a purposeful real estate firm in Fort Lauderdale that prides itself on their dynamic team and great internal relations. They are currently looking for a Human Resources Specialist to join their team!
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$65,000 – $75,000 (depending on experience)
Position Overview:
The Human Resources Specialist is a position of many different hats. The HR team is looking for a Human Resources Specialist to handle recruitment, manage time off policies, oversee benefits administration and more. If you are a strong communicator with good organizational tools this is the job for you!
Responsibilities of the Human Resources Specialist:
- Recruiting support through resumes, interviews, onboarding, references, background screenings
- Workers compensation compliance, claims, and reporting
- Manage Medical leave requests and concerns
- Employee relations issues expert and liaison
- Including investigations, recommendations on discipline, etc.
- HR support to management and employees
- Align strategies to overall and corporate initiatives
- Execute on performance development initiatives to ensure career succession and development
- Develop turnover reduction strategies
- Ability to assess and make procedural and policy recommendations to HR Leadership
- Continuous improvement efforts whether in trainings, safety, performance management, reporting, worker’s comp, compliance, plant communications, overall onsite audits, not limited to OSHA, client audits, SQF, labor surveys, discipline, culture, etc.
- Ability to work with an HR module software, such as Time & Attendance system, evaluate hours, balance work hours, ensure attendance warnings and disciplinary warnings are up to date and any other ad hoc information
- Liaison and trusted resource for employee and management questions and needs
- Champion of continuous improvement and culture initiatives, ability to lead with enthusiasm and tact
Qualifications for the Human Resources Specialist:
- 5 years minimum experience within Human Resources
- Excellent MS Office Skills; MS Excel and HRIS/ATS software
- Strong work ethic and can-do attitude
- Great communication and organization skills
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or Business Management is highly preferred
