Human Resources Specialist
The HR Specialist provides functional HR support to assigned ASC facilities throughout Southern Indiana. This support includes, but is not limited to, administration of the applicant tracking system (UKG UltiPro), HR administration, employee record management, and updating of employee databases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists with training applicable roles on the onboarding of new employees including facilitation of New Hire Orientation programs, background checks, and information verification for I9’s/Everify completion.
- Assist with training on processes for completing employee paperwork for government programs (unemployment, financial assistance forms, wage verifications).
- May provide functional HR support for buildings within region in the absence of applicable roles on a short term basis. Including but not limited to onboarding employees, running background checks, and information verification for I9’s. and Everify completion.
- May assist with collecting and scanning missing employee documentation in to HRIS as a result of file assessments.
- May assist with employee file assessment audits.
- Help guide employees through human resources procedures related to functional HR and answer related questions about the organization's policies.
- Assist with special department tasks and/or projects as assigned by the Director of HR Shared Services.
- Works closely with SR. HR Consultants and Sr. Manager of Payroll/Benefits support.
- Assist with verifying and/or entering licensing information in the HRIS.
REQUIREMENTS
- A bachelor's degree and one to two years’ experience in business administration or human resource
- Must be able to travel between buildings.
- Must have a valid Indiana Operator’s License
- Must be proficient using Microsoft Office.
- Must have some knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding benefit programs.
- Ability to hold all confidential information in trust and strict confidence and agree that it shall be used only to full fill employment obligations.
