The enterprise is comprised of companies that span from administrative services to insurance and from building materials to construction. Clyde Companies, Inc. is the administrative services group that supports the other subsidiaries. We are looking for a Human Resources Specialist who wants to make an impact and join the Clyde family!
The position
The Human ResourcesSpecialist provides accurate, timely, and effective Human Resources support to internal departments in accordance with best practices, standards, and organizational priorities. Some key activities include:
- Provide administrative support and assist in recruiting activities by posting jobs, tracking applicants, communicating with candidates, screening applicants, interviewing candidates, etc.;
- Lead onboarding efforts by driving the seamless and effective onboarding of new employees including regularly leading new hire orientation;
- Work closely with payroll to ensure accuracy of weekly payroll;
- Maintain employee files and relevant employment documents in accordance with existing legal standards and company processes;
- Complete wage, employment verification and unemployment requests;
- Liaise with employees and managers regarding FMLA administration;
- Maintain the safety and integrity of the company through coordination of random drug testing;
- Assisting in employee relations;
- Other duties as assigned;
This position will help provide Human Resources functions for multiple companies within the Clyde Companies.
What makes you successful
A successful Human Resources Specialistwill have:
- A bachelor’s degree in human resources management or a related field or equivalent experience;
- 3-5 years of Human Resources or related experience;
- Basic knowledge of core principles and practices of human resources;
- Working knowledge of state and federal employment laws;
- Strong teamwork, collaboration, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective work relationships;
- Effective written and verbal communication skills;
