Job Responsibilities
Work with the internal team leads to coordinate, control and manage all Human Resources related activities for Delta clients. This includes client/employee grievances and investigations, evaluation of client HR related training needs, coordinating drug free work programs with clients, writing job descriptions and employee handbooks as well as maintain HR software used for on-boarding, and file management. Work with operations team to ensure quality service, resolve issues, and determine training needs. Supervisory role; overseeing a team that consist of an HRBP, payroll and benefits.
Job Functions
- Prepare or maintain employment records related to events, such as hiring, termination, leaves of absence/FMLA, transfers, or promotions, using HRIS software.• Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations.
- Address employee relations issues, such as harassment allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns.
- Conduct compliance training as needed/requested.
- Maintain current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Maintain and update human resources documents, employee handbooks, job descriptions or performance evaluation forms.
- Assist new and existing clients with the completion of job descriptions, performance improvement plans and policies.
- Train client managers on electronic on-boarding functions in the Prism HR software.
- Conduct exit interviews as needed and ensure that necessary employment termination paperwork is completed and processed.
- Assist clients with the set up of the hiring portal.
- Provide management with information or training related to interviewing, performance appraisals, counseling techniques, or documentation of performance issues.
- Responsible for processing unemployment inquiries, claims and hearings.
- Manage paid time off processes in conjunction with the payroll dept. to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Respond to client calls, requests and inquiries regarding HR related matters.
- Ensuring new hire reporting to various states.
- Serve as back up to Safety department managing on the job injuries, drug testing and training.
- Responsible for timely investigation of client and employee grievances, including reporting requirements.
- Stay current in human resources fields by attending community events and training sessions

- Train personnel on managerial topics and other topics to enhance job skills.
- Update knowledge of legal or regulatory environments.
Experience and Community Affiliations
- Human Resources Bachelor’s degree or Business Degree with emphasis/minor in Human Resources preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR generalist or 7 years as an HR assistant in an organization with over 100 worksite employees.
- PEO experience is a plus.
- PHR/SPHR certification preferred; must obtain within first year of employment.
- Maintain a membership in the national and local chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management.
- Actively participate in community organizations (i.e., Jefferson Parish/New Orleans Chamber Association, NOLA SHRM, SHRM)
