Description of Job
The salary range for this posting is:
$23.97 - $34.76 Hourly
$1,917.23 - $2,780.77 Biweekly
$4,154.00 - $6,025.00 Monthly
$49,848.00 - $72,300.00 Annually
This position is primarily responsible for processing actions in the state’s employee/payroll database and EDSys/PARS systems to ensure all actions are processed in accordance with State Personnel Board Rules and departmental policies and procedures. Coordinates CPPS entry with EDSys/PARS transactions, monitors pending transactions and coordinates entry with Payroll run dates. Conducts research using CPPS and HRDW. Follows up on pending tasks to ensure deadlines are met. Prepares monthly reports and uploads them to Google Drive. This position is also responsible for providing technical and administrative support for reporting purposes.
This position provides administrative assistance and support of the day-to-day office operations and programs within the Human Resources office.
This position will also serve as an HR Liaison for smaller offices and units (e.g. EDO, ONA, OJT) and back up liaison for larger divisions when needed, entering and monitoring transactions on behalf of these units as needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience: Three years of experience in an occupational field related to the work assigned to the position; this experience must include professional use of Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace.
Substitutions: Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with a personnel payroll system.
+ Experience with a position management system.
+ Experience with a Human Resources Information System
+ Knowledge of State Personnel Rules.
+ Performing duties similar to those assigned to the position as a classified State of Colorado employee.
Required Competencies:
+ Critical Thinking: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
+ Time Management: Managing one's own time and the time of others.
+ Maintain data entry requirements: Experience with upholding conditions for data entry. Follow procedures and apply data program techniques.
+ Perform clerical duties: Knowledge of performing administrative tasks such as filing, generating/creating reports and maintaining mail correspondence.
+ Ability to communicate effectively using different mediums like email, chat, and phone.
+ Support managers: Familiarity with providing support and solutions to managers and directors in regards with their business needs and requests for the running of a business or the daily operations of a business unit.
+ Observe confidentiality: Familiarity with observe the set of rules establishing the nondisclosure of information except to another authorized person.
+ Perform office routine activities: Familiarity with program, prepare, and perform activities required to be performed everyday in offices such as mailing, receiving supplies, updating managers and employees, and keeping operations running smoothly.
