Position: Hunger Prevention Program Coordinator
Location: 316 Huntington Ave/Site Visits
Reports to: Senior Director of Hunger Prevention
Position Type: Part Time
Position Summary:

The YMCA Hunger Prevention Programs includes both sponsored meals and grocery distribution.
· The YMCA is a year-round food sponsor that provides meals to different sites throughout the city. We are a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (Nutrition) sponsor of the Summer food Service Program (SFSP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP).
To assist us in meeting our mission and goals, the YMCA is seeking a Program Coordinator to join our team. This is a part-time position.
Key Responsibilities
Essential Responsibilities:
The Program Coordinator is responsible for conducting monitoring reviews required by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). The Program Coordinator reports to the Senior Director of Hunger Prevention for the responsibilities related to CACFP.
Administration & Coordination:
· Conduct 3 monitoring visits/reviews for each CACFP site. Communicate with site supervisors to conduct reviews and provide feedback.
o Ensure that sites are following compliance protocols and procedures following DESE guidelines.
o Provide TA for sites who need support to maintain compliance.
· Have full understanding of CACFP and SFSP programming to provide sites with technical assistance.
· Support collecting necessary paperwork from sites.
· Attend trainings required by DESE.
· Support in mandatory CACFP trainings for partner sites.
· Develop and maintain strong partnerships with connected sites.
· Performance of other duties as requested by YMCA supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:
· Must be motivated, energetic, punctual, responsible, and exhibit a positive attitude to be an excellent role model for children and staff members.
· Attentive to detail and able to work independently.
· Full commitment to the mission/philosophy of the YMCA.
· Excitement and positive attitude toward working with children, staff, and community.
· Must have a valid driver’s license and vehicle to monitor all program sites.
Physical Demands:

· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, talk, and listen. The employee frequently is required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
· The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust.
Work Environment:
· This position will off-site and focus on conducting site visits and traveling to partner locations.
· Car recommended.
