About the Job
We are looking to add a Thermal (HVAC) Junior Technician who is responsible for assisting other technicians with daily responsibilities associated with servicing our Commercial/Industrial HVAC customers. This Tech will learn more about Critical Infrastructure Data Centers and precision cooling experience and highly specialized HVAC/refrigeration equipment to service customer contracts.

WHAT YOU WOULD BE DOING
- Assist Thermal technician and have ability to learn how to perform standard Preventative Maintenance duties on Commercial/Industrial HVAC Equipment
- Assist technician and have ability to learn how to troubleshoot and diagnose problems, change out compressors, failed parts, etc. on all HVAC equipment
- Has some understanding through classes of HVAC systems including split systems, DX systems, glycol, controls, etc.
- Has some knowledge of how to assist with solder, braze refrigerant lines, water lines, etc.
- Communicates daily with dispatcher and technicians on reporting job by job information about equipment ID, completed jobs, problems encountered, assistance needed with repairs
- Has ability to learn to read and interpret schematics and control circuits
- Interfaces with the customer on a professional basis and presents DVL in a positive light
- Properly handles refrigerant, reclaim machine, vacuum pump, micron gauge and other essential tools
- Works in a safe manner. Follows industry standard safety practices including knowledge of MSDS, tool safety, equipment safety and ladder safety guidelines
- Safely and properly operates and maintains company vehicle and learns how to maintain a truck inventory
- Establish relationships with other technicians to learn from them to be able to troubleshoot customer tickets
- Satisfactory complete HVAC Training classes as required
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY
- One-year certificate from college or trade school
- Universal Refrigerant Certification required
- Ability to hookup a gauge set to equipment to troubleshoot refrigeration issues
- Ability to utilize a multi-meter in troubleshooting electrical systems
- Letter of recommendation from a college instructor
- Basic in computer skills, experience in Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent customer service skills
- Perform overtime duties when required

The pay range is $21.00 - $27.00/hr. or higher based on relevant experience plus bonus, laptop and iPhone.
