About the Job
IES Residential's Huntsville, Alabama division is looking for a skilled HVAC Installer to join our team. The HVAC Installer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in HVAC systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Min:USD $15.00/Hr.Max:USD $23.00/Hr.Minimum Education:NoneMinimum Years of Experience:0-2Specific Qualifications: • HVAC Installation: Install heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and thermostats, ensuring proper sizing, placement, and configuration.
• Piping and Ductwork: Fabricate and install piping and ductwork for HVAC systems, ensuring proper alignment, sealing, and insulation to maximize efficiency and performance.
• Equipment Setup: Set up and test HVAC equipment and components, including condensing units, thermostats, and air handling units, to ensure proper operation and functionality.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment, including the proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials, and compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect installations for quality and compliance with specifications, codes, and regulations, making adjustments or corrections as needed to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Customer Interaction: Interact with residential clients in a professional and courteous manner, answering questions, providing explanations, and addressing concerns related to HVAC installations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including work performed, materials used, and time spent, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Continuing Education: Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices through training and professional development opportunities.
• Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other installers, technicians, and support staff to ensure efficient installation processes and customer satisfaction.
