Job Details
We are seeking an experienced HVAC/Piping Estimator to deliver accurate and timely project estimates, ensuring high customer satisfaction. This role involves collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members to align estimates with contract requirements, budgets, schedules, and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate project estimates, including take-offs, labor, and material pricing
- Obtain pricing quotes from vendors and subcontractors
- Review plans and specifications to determine project scope
- Recommend cost-effective solutions and value engineering options
- Participate in pre-construction meetings and site walks, providing insights to project managers
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and pricing
- Ensure clear communication with clients, team members, and subcontractors
Qualifications:
- 5+ years in HVAC, piping, and estimating
- Strong knowledge of duct and piping estimating, with design-build experience preferred
- Proficient in estimating software (AutoBid/QuickPen preferred)
- Skilled in interpreting blueprints, specifications, and permits
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of MS Office and relevant safety and building codes
