Job Description:
The HVAC/R Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair up to 40 RaceTrac convenience stores in a designated region. This individual is responsible for maintaining Building HVAC, Refrigeration Walk-Ins and reach ins and sealed system repairs on Yogurt Machines, Ice Makers, and Frozen Carbonated Beverage Units. The HVAC/R Technician is also responsible for reporting any maintenance or repair needs found at the location via Service Channel and to their Regional Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing light commercial roof top units ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems and equipment.
- Perform repairs and installation on HVAC/R equipment and commercial kitchen equipment
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, walk in refrigeration/freezer units.
- Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
- Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
- Cleaning, adjusting, and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
- Performing emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
- Providing technical direction and on-the-job training.
- Keeping daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.
- Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements.
- Assisting with customers' queries.
Qualifications:
- HVAC, HVAC/R skillset desired
- Universal EPA Certification required.
- Ability to work from 6am through 7pm
- Good driving record
- 2+ years work experience preferred.
- Minimum 1+ year experience as an HVAC technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field.
- Ability to read commercial wiring schematics
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
- Ability to use power tools and hand tools
- Ability to work in confined spaces and outside conditions.
- Ability to use ladders safely.
