About the Job
We are a locally owned and operated Heating and Air Conditioning company that has been in business for over 10 years. We are located in Pomona, CA and Ripon, CA. We are looking to hire a lead service technician who has experience of 3 years + in the HVAC/R industry and someone who is a detail-oriented HVAC Technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC/R systems. The HVAC/R Technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems. You will guide and advise the customer to select the most appropriate air quality system to fulfill their requirements. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty, and emergency repairs.
To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, safety, and comfort should be your top priority. Ideal candidates will be patient and have excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.
Core Tasks/Expectations
- Fieldwork (75%)
- Perform Air Testing, Adjusting and Balancing of commercial heating, ventilation , air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
- Modification and adjustment of mechanical equipment to achieve designed airflow performance
- Documentation (25%)
- Prepare clear, concise reports that communicate effectively all testing results
- Read and interpret architectural and mechanical plans and specifications
- Prepare and submit all internal documents for processing and maintaining records.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
- Pass background and drug screen
- Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
- Be familiar with a wide range of equipment and troubleshooting techniques
- Experience repairing and replace decisions
- Demonstrate a willingness to accept responsibility and leadership roles
- Operate scissor and genie lifts in a safe manner
- Knowledge of basic sheet metal practices
- Knowledge of air balancing principles and techniques
Certificate of Completion from an HVAC Technical School
- 3 + years working in the field
Qualifications desired:
- Universal EPA Certification
- NATE Certified
- Insurable driving record
- Own set of personal standard tools and/or testing equipment
