The HVAC Sales Market Manager is responsible to expand and manage
business activities of independent sales companies and their
representatives selling HVAC product solutions in the United States of
America (USA) and Canada (CAN). This role involves developing and
executing sales strategies to achieve sales targets, managing key
accounts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, increasing revenue in all
assigned territories; discovering and evaluating potential rep firms to
replace non- and under-performing firms, locating, and managing direct
sales to OEM accounts; coordinating with the National Sales Manager for
territory sales performance analyses; conduct training on applications
and product solutions for individual sales representatives and inside
sales support personnel at rep firms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships
with HVAC representatives and OEM accounts. Ensure their needs are
met and address any issues promptly. Responsible for all HVAC
Engineering pricing reviews.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement effective sales strategies
to increase market share and achieve sales targets. Analyze market
trends and adjust strategies accordingly. Organize representative
training. Visit customers, job sites and participate in trade shows
and training seminars. Generate penetration of new markets where IAC
does not have representation. Recruit and cultivate high quality
reps and prospects as a method of expanding our rep network.
Terminate and replace, when necessary, reps not meeting the
expectations and marketing objectives. Assist reps as needed to get
large projects smoothly through engineering and manufacturing.
- Customer Support: Provide exceptional customer service to
existing and potential clients. Address inquiries, resolve issues,
and ensure customer satisfaction. Prepare quotes for custom designs
that are competitive and profitable. Follow-up on customer to
determine the cause and provide solutions as well as what steps
should be taken to prevent a reoccurrence. Conduct product training
and application seminars. Motivate and educate our representatives
(reps) on our products.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify new
business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends and
competitor activities. Must develop and maintain a high level of
technical knowledge of our products.
- Reporting: Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for
senior management. Track sales performance and provide insights for
improvement.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as
marketing and product development, to align sales strategies with
overall business goals. Coordinate with sales, engineering, customer
service, purchasing, manufacturing, accounts and other affected
groups.
- Budget Management: Manage the sales budget effectively, ensuring
optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales targets.
- Travel Requirements: Travel frequently to meet with HVAC
representatives, OEM accounts and attend industry events.
Approximately 40-50% travel is expected.
