Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HVAC Service Manager to oversee our service department in the Charleston, SC area. The HVAC Service Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the service team, ensuring high-quality performance, client satisfaction, and the successful completion of all service projects. This role requires a strong leader with extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and the ability to manage technicians, schedules, budgets, and customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the HVAC service team, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management of technicians.
- Oversee daily service operations, ensuring timely response to service requests and the completion of projects within budget and on schedule.
- Maintain and improve customer relationships by ensuring excellent service and communication.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC systems issues, providing guidance to technicians as needed.
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and complies with regulatory and industry requirements.
- Monitor and manage inventory, materials, and supplies for the service department.
- Work with the sales and project management teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Develop and implement strategies for improving service efficiency and technician productivity.
- Review and approve estimates for service repairs and installations.
- Manage budgets, track service metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an HVAC Service Manager or similar role in the HVAC industry.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installation, and repair processes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Outstanding communication and customer service abilities.
- Proficient with HVAC-related software, scheduling, and job tracking systems.
- Certifications: HVAC certification and EPA certification are preferred.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification in HVAC/R preferred.
