HVAC/R Service Technician
POSITION OVERVIEW:
PDM Group provides service 24/7, 365 days a year, including Holidays. After hours Emergency Service is addressed through our phone system which will put any customer in need of service directly in touch with an on-call Technician. PDM Group is reliable, and our work is trusted as we provide worry-free services our customers can always count on. The HVAC/R Service Technician's responsibility is to provide high-quality heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, and refrigeration services to commercial customers using expertise in HVAC systems and troubleshooting.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance services for commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems
Commercial customers include pharmaceutical production, universities & schools, industrial & chemical plants, data centers, commercials office buildings
Troubleshoot and diagnose more complex HVAC/R problems and recommend best course of action for all systems to include chillers, pumps, air handlers, boilers, humidifiers, cooling towers, rooftop equipment, split heat pump, VRF syst, etc.
Provide exceptional customer service to all customers
Ability to work with tablet-based service ticket software system for all HVAC/R work performed
Perform HVAC/R preventative maintenance service for contract customers
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment and vehicle
Maintain compliance with and knowledge of local HVACR codes, regulations, and safety requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to lift, carry, and/or push a minimum of 75lbs unassisted regularly and up to 100lbs unassisted occasionally
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Ability to work overtime as needed and be part of a scheduled on-call rotation
EPA Certification
OSHA 10
Education/Experience:
5 years of service HVACR experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Travel throughout the tri-state area+
Professional, ethical, and a team player willing to grow with the company
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
2 years of experience leading teams and/or projects
Ability to work as a team player
Verbal & written communication skills
Attention to detail and organization
