POSITION SUMMARY
The HVAC Service Technician Level will perform seasonal maintenance on residential and light commercial HVAC equipment with the responsibility to educate homeowners on issues or improvements needed. Additionally, the HVAC Service Technician will run demand service calls on residential and light commercial and is assigned to the on-call schedule. |

OBJECTIVES
â— Performs preventive maintenance on equipment to prevent equipment failure by cleaning air handling systems and reheat coils, monitoring and calibrating air handling systems and replacing filters, motors, fans, belts, etc. on systems. Repairs, replaces and adjusts vents and ductwork. May clean air ducts to maximize efficiency and improve indoor air quality â— Locates and diagnoses problems, assessing extent of repairs and describing options and associated costs to the customer. Provides a description of diagnosed problems to customers in terms that can be understood with options, as possible â— Assists with repairs of complete systems to include repairing, calibrating or replacing controls, switches, thermostats, transformers, gauges, wiring fans, pumps, compressors, condensers, piping and other functional components of the system â— Completes all required documentation on services, explains guarantees/warranties and collects, records fees in Service Titan. â— Installs, repairs, replaces or cleans refrigerant lines, fans, appliance vents, smoke detectors, humidifiers and grills, as appropriate â— Ensures that all HVAC repairs and installations are accurate, serviceable and that materials used and workmanship meet the requirements of applicable technical/safety standards and regulatory codes. Make any modification needed to ensure proper installation and air balance â— Measure, document and report system performance â— Document service performed and recommendations made by completing applicable forms, reports, logs, and/or records in Service Titan â— Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities (internal and/or external) â— Explain the benefits and value of MULTIPLE MEMBERSHIP PLANS to clients and convert nonmembers to our MEMBERSHIP PLANS â— Meet sales goals and performance metrics â— Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and truck stock |
COMPETENCIES
â— Thorough knowledge of residential HVAC services â— Computer proficiency- Microsoft Office, Outlook email and chat technologies â— Well organized and able to work both independently and as part of a team â— Adequate written communication skills. Proficient in English â— High attention to detail and pride in producing accurate work â— Well-organized with exceptional follow-through abilities â— Ability to build trust and diffuse conflict â— Clean appearance â— Positive attitude |
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
â— High School Diploma or GED required â— Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential HVAC services â— EPA Certification required â— Must possess valid state driver's license and clean driving record |
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
â— Ability to spend prolonged periods of time standing, sitting, or walking â— Must be able to lift at least 50lbs â— Wear safety attire, such as goggles or other protective clothing â— Could be exposed to sounds and noise levels that are uncomfortable and distracting â— Requires the ability to raise, manipulate and maneuver tools, components and materials and handle a variety of items, equipment, control knobs, switches, etc. â— Work in high or elevated places and/or in tight spaces â— Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential requirements |
