Position Type: Full-Time (Wednesday - Saturday)
Shift Hours:
- Wednesday: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Thursday: 1:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Friday: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM

Position Summary: An HVAC Technician is a skilled worker experienced with HVAC systems in acute care facilities, or commercial and industrial settings. Responsibilities include preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting hot/cold calls, and servicing HVAC systems. The technician performs tests and analyzes data to ensure proper equipment functioning and maintains all equipment to ensure high efficiency and minimize business interruptions. Additionally, technicians may assist in other non-HVAC maintenance activities as assigned.
Major Responsibilities:
Operations:
- Maintain chilled water systems and centralized air handling units through scheduled preventative maintenance activities.
- Perform coil cleanings, filter changes, test and balance activities, sensor calibrations, and UV bulb replacements.
- Conduct belt alignments and replacements, drain pan treatments, damper calibrations, and repairs.
- Clean interior of air handling units (AHU).
- Read and comprehend blueprints, specifications, and operations manuals.
- Verify correct operation of DDC/pneumatic control systems.
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs on refrigeration and other DX equipment.
Quality:
- Perform work to the highest industry and manufacturer recommended standards.
- Follow all applicable federal, state, and local safety guidelines, including lock-out/tag-out, OSHA, confined space, PPE, etc.
- Document all work and labor time using the CMMS system.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with the Division Senior HVAC Technician about equipment conditions.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance.
- Maintain a clean driving record and a valid driver's license.
- Adhere to all facility and corporate employment policies.

Education & Experience:
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Two-year technical/vocational degree in HVAC
- Preferred: 2 years of experience in a commercial, industrial, or healthcare environment
- Or: Equivalent combination of education and/or experience
Licensure, Certifications, Training:
- Required: EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
