We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and diverse environment within the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems in a variety of settings. Responsibilities:
As an HVAC Technician, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
1. Installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems and their components.
2. Diagnosing and repairing malfunctions in various types of HVAC systems and equipment.
3. Conducting regular preventative maintenance inspections of refrigerant systems, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and making necessary adjustments or repairs.
4. Testing HVAC systems and components to ensure proper functioning.
5. Collaborating with construction and design teams to determine the best placement of HVAC systems.
6. Providing technical direction and on-the-job training to lower-level HVAC mechanics and helpers.
7. Complying with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.
8. Documenting service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
9. Inspecting and testing systems to verify system compliance with plans and specifications and to detect and locate malfunctions.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an HVAC Technician.
2. A valid driver's license.
3. Comprehensive knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
4. EPA Certification, Refrigeration experience huge plus
5. Proficient in reading blueprints and electrical schematics.
6. Excellent understanding of all safety procedures and use of safety equipment.
7. Working knowledge of electricity, refrigeration, and plumbing.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
10. Physical ability to lift heavy equipment and work from ladders or heights.
11. EPA certification is preferred.
12. High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus.
