JOB SUMMARY
The HVAC Technician will install, repair, and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.
Essential duties include:
- Installs new HVAC units in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.
- Installs ductwork and thermostats to control HVAC system.
- Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate properly.
- Inspects and troubleshoots problems with existing HVAC units.
- Installs replacement parts on existing HVAC units.
- Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
- Complies with company and industry safety standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HVAC industry standards, building codes, new technologies, and best practices.
- Liaise with customers, providing technical advice, addressing concerns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments or contractors as necessary to facilitate the smooth completion of HVAC projects.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Experience working with chillers, boilers, and cooling towers.
- Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship a plus.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
- Possession of HVAC certification is highly desirable.
- Proficient in the use of HVAC diagnostic tools and equipment; capable of reading and interpreting technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities to diagnose and address system issues efficiently.
- Proven ability to follow instructions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, contractors, and clients.
- A commitment to providing high-quality service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency in using computer software for project management, scheduling, and reporting.
- Willingness to work overtime, on weekends, or on call as required by project deadlines or emergency situations.
WHAT OUR ORGANIZATION IS PROVIDING
- Hiring rate of $35.00 - $50.00 per hour DOE
- 40 hour workweek with OT opportunities
