Hybrid Medicare Collections SpecialistCompensation

• The pay for this position is $19.50 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Hybrid Medicare Collections Specialist Highlights

• This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday through Friday 7:30a-4p. In office every other Tuesday and Thursday.

Hybrid Medicare Collections Specialist Responsibilities

• Timely response to Medicare audits and appeals
• Research and gather the appropriate documentation to form all levels of appeals for Medicare
• Third party follow-up associated with the dispensing g of prescription medication via telephone, Internet, and in writing
• Resolve issues with nonpayment of invoices due to insurance problems that may have resulted from incorrect or incomplete information, therapy changes and pharmacy or shipping errors
• Maintain supporting chronological notes that detail action taken to resolve outstanding account balances
• Maintain patient demographic information and data collection systems Research and respond by telephone, via the internet and in writing to insurance companies and governmental payers regarding collection issues and problems
• Contact patients and Physician’s offices as well as insurance companies as needed in order to expedite claims processing

Hybrid Medicare Collections Specialist Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
• 18 months Healthcare Insurance related experience
• Experience using Microsoft Office products’ specifically Excel, Outlook and Word
• Insurance billing or collections experience
• Customer service in a healthcare environment
• Experience working in a healthcare reimbursement system
