SYNERGY HomeCare of Barrington has an exciting opportunity for a Hybrid Caregiver/Office Assistant. We are seeking a highly motivated, take charge individual that enjoys multi-tasking and has the ability to manage challenging situations while maintaining a calm and compassionate demeanor.
Position Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility for the Hybrid Caregiver/Office Assistant is oversight of daily staffing activities. Coordinates and staffs shift requests, providing the most qualified caregivers for our clients. The position will also assist with maintaining all records and staffing-related documents. Backs up unscheduled shifts as necessary.
This position will also be involved with client intake and home assessments as well as be responsible to be “on-call” with the management team and to take the lead role in order to find coverage for emergency situations after normal business hours, weekends and holidays.
This postion will require the Caregiver/Office Assistant to fill in on a case after all attempts have been made to find coverage and no other caregiver is available or until a replacement caregiver has been secured.
Position Requirements:
The qualified candidate will have knowledge of the home care or health care sector. Have the ability to be flexible and understand situations that need immediate attention. Enjoy coordinating and recognizing accomplishments of care team members.
This position requires computer skills, time management and communication skills. Candidates must have experience a minimum of 2 years experience in the home care or healthcare fields.
Addtional Requirements:
Prior caregiving experience including use of Hoyer lifts and Sit-to-Stands
Pass a criminal background check with no disqualifying events
Ability to be flexible and able to fill vacant shifts when necessary
Have reliable transportation
Have the ability to work with all levels of client care
Ability to communicate professionally with clients, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals and management
