KeyLogic Systems has an immediate need for a Senior Energy/Environmental Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA (hybrid position).
The Senior Energy/Environmental Engineer will support our federal client, National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), in the areas of carbon capture and conversion. The individual will be responsible for providing technical, analytical, and coordination support for conceptualization, formulation, implementation, and management of program planning, outreach activities, cooperative programs, and projects focusing on carbon dioxide capture and conversion research and development (R&D). Responsibilities also include conducting literature reviews and monitoring ongoing and future research related to carbon dioxide capture and conversion. This role is crucial for supporting the U.S. Department of Energy’s Point Source Carbon Capture, Carbon Dioxide Removal, and Carbon Dioxide Conversion Programs.

Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct thorough literature reviews on previously completed and ongoing research related to carbon dioxide capture and conversion research & development.
· Monitor ongoing and future research & development related to carbon dioxide capture and conversion.
· Provide technical and coordination support to program planning, implementation, and outreach activities.
· Attend industry meetings, conferences, and collaborative sessions with project partners.
Position Requirements
· U.S. Citizenship
· Master’s Degree in Engineering. An advanced degree (Ph.D.) along with fundamental understanding of energy systems, gas separation, and/or carbon dioxide capture and conversion R&D is preferred.
· 3+ years of professional experience.
· Proven experience in project management, preferably in the environmental or energy sector.
· Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting and applying engineering principles, theories, and concepts related to carbon dioxide capture and conversion.
· Ability to work independently, as well as in a structured team environment with federal and other technical services contractors.
· Must be results oriented and can manage multiple tasks with often overlapping deadlines.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to deal with clients and colleagues on a daily basis. Excellent writing and research skills are essential.
