Senior Staff Accountant Job Summary
Serve the needs of patients, physicians, hospital management as well as its employees and the community in planning, designing and implementing financial information systems which will furnish financial and comparative data in support of the hospital mission and goals. Provides management with financial information by researching and analyzing accounts.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements
- Requires a Bachelor of Science in Accounting or work experience equivalent.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of Financial Accounting experience required.
- Healthcare financial experience preferred.
- CPA certification is desirable.
Staff Accountant Job Summary
Performs General Accounting duties including, but not limited to, account reconciliations, preparing of financials statements, preparing payroll, ensuring computerized computations of earnings, deductions, benefits, and taxes are accurate for employee paychecks and reporting payroll taxes. Assists with other General Accounting reconciliations and projects as required.
Minimum Education/License/Certification Requirements- Associate's degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience is required.
- Two to Three years of General Ledger/Financial as well as payroll experience required.
- Must exhibit solid Microsoft Office skills as well as have experience with automated accounting systems.
- Must possess good interpersonal and organizations skills, as well as computer knowledge.
- Must be able to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills, behaviors, and personal characteristics necessary for processing confidential information as well as be familiar with accounting rules and regulations reflective of the financial healthcare industry.
